This Friday the 23rd is sure going to be a memorable day as over 100 women will be taking part in netball, football and athletic games in Clermont. The games are part of an initiative for women’s month called GROWING Healthier Gogos for Tomorrow. The games will be aimed at women aged between 45 – 60 years old.
The games will be promoting healthier living for older women who tend to be more susceptible to diseases such as such as diabetes, heart disease, arthritis and strokes. What better way to promote healthy living than with a bit of sports and fun games? The games are particularly meaningful as most elderly people tend to be left out in sporting events aimed at the youth.
The event will not only include sports activities but health awareness talks and an entertaining traditional dance. For more information, contact the Hillcrest AIDS Centre Trust on 031 765 5866 or email email@example.com.
