Malema Amused by Former EFF Members’ New Party

Former members of the EFF (Economic Freedom Fighters) have started their own political party called the African Federal Convention (Afco), according to reports by the SABC (South African Broadcast Corporation). The news came as something of a comedic relief for EFF leader Julius Malema, who found the news quite amusing.

The members of the newly formed Afco include “Black First, Land First” leader Andile Mngxitama (who was a member of the EFF before breaking away to form his new party), EFF MP Khanyisile Litchfield-Tshabalala, EFF KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) provincial chairperson Vusi Khoza, former EFF treasurer Magdalene Moonsamy (who resigned from the party in 2016), and EFF MP Hlengiwe Hlophe.

When Malema was made aware of the news on twitter via SABC’s current affairs show On Point’s twitter page, he responded with laughing emojis – indicating his lack of care for the situation.
